I Love My...
Currently, I'm LOVING my Lilly Pulitzer academic agenda. This school year just started, and I already feel like I'm drowning in work, between school, sorority, and extracurriculars. I love the Lilly agenda because its large enough to give me space to map out my days, but also incredibly fashionable. Granted, I am by no means a die hard Lilly fan, but I definitely appreciate a good organizational tool when I see one!

Sorority Game Day& Outfits!
There's less than a month until the first game day! The prospect of frolicking around Frat Row going from pre game to pre game and then finally to the stadium to cheer on my team in the student section makes me giddy with excitement. If you don't know what I'm talking about, visit a friend at an SEC school. You'll get it.
Here are few pictures from my favorite games last year. Consider this post half throwback half examples of outfits. I hope y'all enjoy my brief trip down memory lane!
What do you like to wear to football games?

Sorority Clothing: 10 Items Every Sorority Girl Should Own
Recently, I tackled unpacking the few bags I had forgotten about when I came home from the summer. Namely, I had a few that contained solely Greek and sorority related attire. I was surprised at the sheer quantity of some the items in my closet, which got me thinking. There are certain articles of clothing and related items that every Panhellenic lady, no matter what chapter you are affiliated with, should have in her closet or wardrobe at all times. While some of them may seem silly, or not quite your style, there is definitely something in this list that you can personalize to fit your unique look and personality. Here's my list of clothing items every sorority girl should own:
10. Something Monogrammed
This one is aimed towards the more preppy or classically styled of our sisters. There's just something about a strategically placed monogram that looks so instantly polished. Personally, I like them on necklaces, hats, frockets, or handbags; however, there are definitely some monogram lovers out there to who feel that "if you got it, monogram it'.

9. Cowboy Boots
I don't know about you, but where I go to school, a cute pair of cowboy boots is a must! I find myself wearing mine on game days with a sundress (see below), to barbecues, woodsers, you name it! I purchased mine from Target for relatively cheap, but, so far, they have lasted through every outing I've put those babies through.

8. Riding Boots
Along the same lines, a good pair of riding boots are essential to a sorority girl's wardrobe. Once the weather cools down, pair them with some skinnies, a sweater, and a scarf, and you're good to go. They can instantly make any outfit so much more polished and they're so easy to dress up or down. I wear mine around campus, out to bars when its too cold for heels, and to different campus events. I have a pair of classic brown ones I found online a while back, and a more edgy black pair with some studs on them (I like wearing those when I want to feel a little more rebellious). However, there is a word of caution that comes along with these boots-- make sure you seriously investigate fit. If you are trying them on in a store, make sure they aren't too tight that they squeeze your toes, or too big that you slide around in them. Ideally, they should fit snuggly, but with a little room for the appropriate thickness of socks that you plan to wear underneath. If you are purchasing yours online, check the reviews! Often times, previous buyers will warn you if they run a size big or a little small, so you can order appropriately. Additionally, make sure the boot height hits you where you want it (at the knee, a few inches below, etc) and that they aren't too loose around the calves. No one likes a big, gapey, loose- looking boot. Trust me.

7. Game Day Outfit
Every Greek life loving lady knows that one of the most important traditions of the fall semester is Game Days. Football season is the highlight of the first few weeks of the new year, and new semester. Whether you live up north where it gets a bit cooler, or down south like me, where it's sweltering hot, a good outfit for games is a no brainer. My school is an SEC school, and a little more southern. Consequently, my sisters and I usually wear a cute dress in our school's colors, some sunglasses, and yes, some cowboy boots. Game Day outfits are such an easy and fun way to show off your school spirit and still look cute. After all, who reeeally likes the free T-shirts with the school's logo on them?

6. An outfit for formal chapter
Ah, formal chapter. The most favorite chapter of the month. Hah. While most of us don't exactly look forward to chapter- aka an hour or so of girls disagreeing about anything and everything- formal chapter takes the cake. I don't know about you, but reviewing rituals and getting dressed up to sit around is not exactly my ideal way to spend my time. I would prefer to sit there in my comfy clothes, or better yet, curled up on my couch with a good cup of tea. Alas, it doesn't work that way, so it is essential to have a good, appropriate outfit for formal chapter. My sorority requires a sundress or skirt and top with nice shoes. However, my roommate is required to wear a formal dress, something that covers her shoulders, and heels. Depending on the degree to which your chapter requires you to dress, you may have to modify these outfits to fit your needs.

5. A Pair of Pearls
This one is pretty self- explanatory. Pearls look instantly polished and presentable. I wear mine during recruitment or to important meetings. In my opinion, they set the standard and show that you have class, style, and good taste. Some people tend to wear pearls more than others, but I like to reserve mine for special occasions. However, I do have a few pairs of pearl earrings, and I like to wear the less expensive ones on an everyday basis to look neat and presentable, even if I feel like a mess.

4. Spirit Jersey
The oversized cross between a sweatshirt and long- sleeved shirt took the sorority world by storm this year. I saw them popping up all over campus and in a rainbow of colors. Spirit jerseys are comfortable and super easy to style. I tend to wear mine with a pair of leggings and sandals when I'm headed to the library or to an early morning class. When the weather gets a little colder, I've seen plenty of girls wear their's with leggings or skinnies, riding boots, and a scarf. However you choose to style the spirit jersey, it looks cute and sets a statement that you are proud to wear the letters of your chapter.

3. Frat Tanks
Again, these are pretty self-explanatory. These tank tops can be seen all over campus by both guys and girls. At my school, girls tend to wear the ones that support their favorite fraternity or organization. There are also many group on campus, such as student government, who will print their logo and a witty saying on them and distribute them to the Greek houses to promote their organization. You can find sorority girls going to the gym in them, wearing oversized ones with running shorts to class when their feeling very casual, or over a pair of leggings in the library or around the house. They are one of those classic sorority/fraternity articles of clothing, and definitely occupy a large space in my own closet.

2. Jack Rogers
These sandals are instantly associated with sorority girls everywhere. They come in a variety of colors, patterns, and designs. They may take some getting used to, and are little difficult to break in. Once you worn up to these beautifully constructed sandals, I guarantee you will want to wear them everywhere. I have a few pairs of them, and I love them to death. The only words of advice I would give are pay attention to sizing, and don't wear them for a long period of time the first time you slip them on. If I hadn't had a salesman trained in selling these, I would have bought a size too big and regretted it once the leather band loosened up from wear. Additionally, I made the mistake of trying to wear them all over campus to break them in. My feet were badly blistered and killing me afterwards. Baby steps until these sandals are properly broken in.

1. Lavalier
Finally, and most importantly, every sorority girl should have her lavaliere. It is so special to receive yours, and to finally have such an important ornament to show off your letters with pride. I wear mine on a silver chain around my neck everyday. For me, it is a matter of pride and respect. I know it may sound cheesy, but it really is an honor to be accepted into whatever chapter you are a part of, and as a member, you should want to show off your affiliation. It shows that you love your organization, and more importantly, you love your sisters.

I tried multiple times to include my own pictures, but for some reason it kept throwing off the alignment. Maybe I will make a separate post with some of my own favorite sorority clothing? Would anyone like to see those?

Tips from a Self Proclaimed-Procrastinator
Good morning! I hope you all have wished your dads a Happy Father's Day! This morning my mom made us all a huuuge feast of bacon, eggs, hash browns, donuts, biscuits, and fruit. Probably not the most healthy way to start the day, but hey, it tasted good :)
If any of you are like me, you tend to procrastinate and wait for the last minute to do things. So just in case you haven't had a chance to grab your dad a little something for his special day, I've made a list of places to check out that have tons of dad-friendly goods. These places range from the lower price range to a bit higher, so hopefully there is something that fits your needs!
Happy shopping!
There's also always the option of swinging by your local grocery store and grabbing his favorite foods and candies and making a yummy meal he's sure to enjoy. As cliché as it is, when it comes to Father's Day gifts, it really is the thought that counts. As long as you try and keep him in mind, your dad is sure to be happy.
As for me, I am off to the gym to burn off all the calories from breakfast and then help my mom prepare a BBQ dinner later on. Check back to see some pics of the day :)
